Presentation Modes

All presentation decisions will be based solely on the content of the submission, without consideration of the presentation format. Form of presentation will be determined and communicated to the authors later in the process.

Authors will be asked to indicate a preferred presentation mode when they submit their paper. In determining a preferred mode, authors should consider the following aspects:

  • Posters will be displayed for 90-120 minutes, which will allow interaction between presenters and attendees for prolonged periods. Topics that will benefit from one-to-one interactions and targeted discussions are better suited for this presentation medium.

  • Oral presentations are organized in concurrent parallel sessions, arranged in rooms spatially distributed in the venue. The target audience will likely be experts in a particular topic. Authors will have approximately 20 minutes to present, address questions, and switch to the next talk.

Regardless of presentation mode, all authors will be required to upload a short recorded presentation online before the conference, which will be made available to all attendees along with the short paper. Authors may also be provided with the opportunity to upload supplementary material at this stage.

The organizing team will consider author preferences but may be required to change a small number of formats to balance the Symposium presentations.
